About StickyNotes.club
StickyNotes.club is a place where ideas can grow together.
Most of the time that happens in a room: a retrospective, a class, a training group, a team deciding what to do next. Getting a group to think together usually costs more setup than the thinking is worth — accounts to create, an app to install, a licence per seat, a tool nobody opens again afterwards. By the time everyone is in, the question has gone cold.
StickyNotes.club lets one person start a session in minutes, lets everyone else join with a link or a QR code, and leaves a result that outlives the meeting.
Sometimes an idea starts smaller than that: a quick thought you want to keep, or one you want to share with the world. That still works here too.
Getting a room to think together
A workshop runs on a private board. You prepare it, write the question everyone will see, and put the link or QR code on screen. Participants choose a nickname and start contributing from their own phone or laptop — no account, no installation, nothing to pay.
From there the facilitator steers: set the question, run a timer the whole room counts down together, collect ideas silently before anyone can be influenced by the rest, and decide when new input opens or closes. When it is time to choose, dot voting turns a wall of ideas into a visible priority.
When the session finishes, the board stays. The result is a page you can print, export or share with people who were not there.
Public inspires. Private builds.
Public sticky notes are for sharing, discovering and starting conversations. On the worldwide wall you can publish a thought and read notes from people in other countries.
Private boards are for brainstorming, organising, collaborating and making decisions — on your own, with people you invite, or with a whole room at once.
These are not two products. They are two contexts in the same journey of an idea, and every screen tells you which one you are in, so you know who can read what you wrote.
Keeping things simple
StickyNotes.club is designed to feel calm and straightforward.
You should not need to understand a complicated system before writing something down. Sticky notes stay familiar, boards grow naturally, and extra tools appear only when they help you move an idea forward.
It is also deliberately smaller than the tools it will be compared with. There is no video, no chat, no integration catalogue, no infinite canvas and no template library for every framework. That is the reason a facilitator can start a session in minutes, and it is a choice rather than a gap.
StickyNotes.club is not intended to replace full project-management software, document editors or social networks. It sits between personal thinking and lightweight collaboration.
How it started
StickyNotes.club was initially inspired by Matthew Chavez's Subway Therapy, where handwritten notes created unexpected connections between people.
That same idea inspired a digital space where people can share thoughts publicly while also having a private place to develop ideas together — and, in time, a place to do that with a room full of people at once.
Who is behind StickyNotes.club
StickyNotes.club is an independent product created and maintained by Farid Bouchdak in the Netherlands.
It is intentionally being developed as a small, focused service. New features are considered carefully and should make it easier for ideas to grow without making the product unnecessarily complicated.
The application, database and stored content are hosted by Fly.io in Amsterdam. The domain uses Cloudflare for DNS, network delivery and security. More information about the handling and protection of personal data is available in the Privacy Policy.
